Bio

Amy Bates Stumpf has worked in professional communications since her graduation from Northwestern University.  She held a corporate communications position for two international consulting firms, where she guided the communications process from client relations to internal communications.  Starting her own communications consulting company in 1994, she specialized in communication strategic planning and execution, content development, voice and branding, as well as public relations best practices for government agencies and small businesses alike. 

In 1999, she launched Gift List Media, introducing a nation of consumer product public relations professionals to the first-ever, fully researched database of holiday gift guide editors, The Gift List for Holiday.  That list has become to the go-to source for anyone seeking out new products editors in commercial media. 

Gift List Media LLC has grown to a full service business-to-business public relations company.  Under The Gift List, multiple media lists covering both the Holiday and Spring seasons are now offered.  And in 2006, Stumpf launched a suite of specialized services, including press release writing, media kit development, targeted distribution and customized pitching list development.  This year, Stumpf expanded her services to include two annual media events in New York where clients can showcase their consumer products to new products editors in person.

A second database concept, Spotlight Branding, debuted in 2006.  Utilizing her extensive contacts in film and television, and prompted by the repeated requests, Stumpf launched a new database listing contact information for product placement opportunities in narrative film and television. 

Stumpf continues to expand her business to meet the needs of the public relations community.
